Question 1: Where exactly is Cherokee located?
Cherokee Garden is located on Madison's northside. Click HERE for our location and site maps. The Cherokee Garden mailing address is 1436 Wheeler Road, but the main office has now been moved down to the maintenance office (on the Private road at the farthest end of Sherman Avenue, just before the marsh entrance). If you need to drop off or pick something up at the office, be sure call first to make sure someone is around (608-244-8144 or 608-241-4747).
Question 2: How do I make a maintenance request?
Most maintenance requests are made over the phone by calling either the Maintenance Office at 608-241-4747, or the Main Office at 608-244-8144. Either office or maitenance staff will be available to take your calls during weekday business hours (leave a message if no one is around and we will get back to you when we can). If there is a maintenance emergency after business hours or on weekends, call one of the Cherokee Board members - they will then get in touch with the on-call maintenance staff who will contact you and help you out.
Maintenance requests can also be done through this website on the Get In Touch page, or by emailing our maintenance department at cherokeegcmaintenance@gmail.com. These emails are monitored by our office staff Monday-Friday from 8am until noon.
Question 3: Does Cherokee Garden allow pets?
Yes - we absolutely do allow pets here at Cherokee Garden! There are some restrictions, however, that all residents are required to follow regarding their fine, furry friends. Those specific rules can be found under the Rules Governing Pets sections of your House Rules & Regulations booklet.
Question 4: Is there a Community Space that Residents can rent?
Yes there is - our Clubhouse is located at 1436 Wheeler Road, next to the pool. Residents can rent this space for $25. If you wish to reserve the room for an occasion, give the Cherokee Office a call (608-244-8144) and we will get your name on the calendar and send a reservation form to your unit. The space comfortably seats around 30 (max capacity of 50) people and comes with kitchen facilities, chairs, and tables.
